Seated L to R: Gregg, Gould, BurgdorfThe William Brenner crew at Kingtung, China after their rescue. They bailed out of the B-24 Paulette while on a gas-hauling mission to China on 23 July 1944. Brenner was killed, but the rest of the crew walked back in 12 days. (The white spots on the photo were used to number individuals.) The Chinese in the picture were: seated: Huo Che Keh, Magistrate of Kintung (south of Yunnanyi); Huo Sku Kuan, Secretary. Standing: Huo Ti Shau, Jailor; unknown; Wa Wang Shu, Chinese Army Sgt; Le Je So, Police Officer.
