Photo taken in 1943. This crew was shot down over Rangoon on 14 Oct 1943. Goad and Sawyer became POWs in the Rangoon Central Jail. Austin, Witte, Marshall and Chiarello all died in the plane's explosion. Kelly was sick that day, but he went down with Major W. Werner on 14 Nov 1943 and died from his burns in the Rangoon Central Jail. The other officers had been replaced before this mission.
