Good Afternoon Sir,

My name is Capt Tom Peralta, and I’m a member of the current 9th Bomb Squadron. I emailed Mr. Karpstein, and he in turn told me to contact you for posting information on the 7th BG Foundation website.

First, a little background: My commander wants to put together an affiliation of former 9th Bomb Squadron members to help our younger aviators connect with the strong heritage this sqdrn has. Eventually, we would like to host reunions and other events for all the generations of the “Bats” to swap stories and build camaraderie.

As a kickoff event, we are organizing a golf tournament here at Dyess AFB (Abilene, Texas), and hope many former Bats can attend. The tournament will start at 0900, 9 Sept 05 (i.e. 9/9 at 9). Price per player should be about $15 for 18 holes. Even non-golfers are more than welcome to show up and enjoy our hospitality.

Proceeds from the competition will go toward seed money for a “9th Bomb Sqdrn Organization”. I was hoping you could help us get the word out through the 7BG Foundation website. Just let me know what other information you’ll need, and I’ll make sure you get it. I’ll have hotel and other information soon.
